Top Ten: Dog breeds than can jump the highest

Dogs are built for many things, whether that be herding, tracking, running, barking, guarding, fighting, or even being a companion. But with all these skills, it just so happens to be that some breeds of dogs can jump higher than others, with some dogs being able to jump the height of an adult man!


10: Australian Shepherd: Four feet high

The Aussie is a natural-born athlete. These incredible dogs can leap four feet in the air easily.










9: Jack Russell Terrier: Four feet high

These small-but-mighty terriers can leap four feet high, which is incredible for their size, getting up to one foot tall at the shoulder. That's like a six foot man leaping over an eighteen foot wall!






8: Rat Terrier: Five feet high

Another mighty terrier, the Rat Terrier can easily spring over walls that are five feet high, and can climb higher if the wall has grips.







7: Border Collie: Six feet high

Border Collies are known to be extremely athletic dogs, so it' s very easy for them to be able to leap a six foot fence.

Bred to cover long distances to catch game, Ibizan Hounds are capable of leaping heights of six feet, thanks to their long legs.

No wonder Belgian Malinois are the number one choice for police. These incredible dogs can easily leap heights of eight feet and climb walls that are over eleven feet.







1: Australian Kelpie: Nine feet high

Considered the highest jumping dog in the world, the Australian Kelpie can leap heights of nine feet! This all-around farm dog can also climb fences, crawl under tight spaces, and even leap on moving sheep to control them.
